Last year The Stylesmiths made the finalist list for the Dulux Colour Awards for Residential Interiors which we were super excited and proud to have made the cut! This year we didn’t enter as many of our new projects are still under construction, so we thought we would celebrate our talented peers that made this years finalist list. Following a record-breaking entries from Australian and New Zealand design professionals. After viewing the finalists there seems to be many shades of blue and greens that are dominating this sector, from azure through to dark navy – seen in cabinetry, trims through to feature walls which we are loving!
Meanwhile, greens ranging from soft sage to emerald have lost none of their appeal adding sophistication, character and a sense of quiet luxury. There has been a shift away from greys and cooler neutrals which have dominated interiors in previous years, with nature-based warm hues, such as beiges, terracotta and caramels coming to the fore.
The judging panel will select winners across the six categories, Commercial Interior, Public and Hospitality, Workplace, Retail, Commercial and Multi-Residential Exterior, Residential Interior, Single Residential Exterior and Student, with all category winners (excluding the Student category and New Zealand entrants).
Winners of the 33rd Dulux Colour Awards will be announced at a gala event at the National Gallery of Victoria on 8 May 2019 which we will keep you posted!
