The recently renovated Grosvenor house with a modern extension to the rear of the home called for The Stylesmiths™ to inject colour, warmth and personality into a newly renovated home that bridges the gap between old and new.
A busy family with young children longed for interior styling that felt lively and fun, as well as providing maximum utility.
Our clients knew which rooms needed some interior design love. They knew the design direction but were open to ideas from Stylesmiths Danielle S. The Grosvenor house involved full interior design services: from floor coverings, art selection, furniture, wall finishes and home decor.
In the living and dining rooms, playful combination of reds, blues and black are set against more formal built in finishes to create a friendly atmosphere. Floor coverings ground each space and family memories and mementos are celebrated on walls and within joinery.
Lively colours are continued into the hallway where more abstract art is set off against a refined seating nook where a storybook can be shared between parent and child. Gently hued curtains soften the space and create warmth. Existing and new spaces feel more like parts of the same home; one where utility is defined, and all rooms function well for the family in addition to reflecting their tastes in an authentic and meaningful way.
