The foundation of the interior design is rooted in the use of raw, industrial materials that evoke a sense of strength and durability. Exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, and steel fixtures serve as the backbone of the interior, providing a rugged contrast to the softer, more playful elements introduced throughout the space.
One of the standout features of the design is the strategic use of pink—a colour often associated with playfulness and creativity. The pink accents are not overbearing; instead, they are meticulously applied to create focal points that draw the eye and break the monotony of the darker, industrial tones. These touches of pink can be seen in the framing of doorways, the soft glow of backlit mirrors, and the subtle yet striking pink walls that lead into the store’s “Back Room.”
The “Back Room” is a significant feature within the store, offering a more intimate and exclusive shopping experience. The entryway to this area is framed with a bold pink arch, immediately signalling a shift in atmosphere. Inside, the design continues the theme of contrast, with black fixtures and dimmed lighting creating a moody and sophisticated environment. This space serves as a private retreat where customers can explore the more exclusive and daring selections from the Daily Jocks range.
Lighting plays a crucial role in the overall ambiance of the store. The Stylesmiths have employed a mix of track lighting and ambient glows to highlight key areas and products, ensuring that each item is displayed in its best light—literally.
